Nuru International Seeking Veterans For Jobs

Backpacks For Life was recently connected with Nuru International, a nonprofit organization founded in 2008 by former U.S. Marine, Jake Harriman. Nuru International works to eradicate extreme poverty in fragile rural areas to build communities resilient to violent extremism. When we received an email from them, we were thrilled that they were coming to us in hopes that we could connect them with military veterans looking for employment.

Nuru International works in various areas of the world including Kenya, Ethiopia and now Nigeria is the next big project in which they are hiring for. The Nuru team is seeking high quality candidates for two positions: Team Leader & Monitoring & Evaluation Program Specialist. For veterans who are transitioning into the civilian workforce, this is an INCREDIBLE opportunity!

Nuru is looking to fill the positions with military veterans, ideally with the following experience:

·         Expertise with tactical combat casualty care, intelligence analysis, human intelligence, and advanced special operations is highly beneficial to increasing the survivability of the team

·         Deployment is scheduled for a 2 year field tour with vacation time throughout the team.
