All Things Veteran

One of our core principals at Backpacks For Life which stems from being taught in the military, is to work as a team. Our goal is to be able to connect veterans with local resources in their community and working alongside other organizations to move veterans forward. We recently got the chance to connect with the amazing founders of Utah based organization All Things Veteran to see what they’re doing for veterans in their community. Co-Founders Jacob Sanderson and Darron Rowley have been friends since high school, but it wasn’t until after Sanderson’s military career ended that came up with an idea of serving beyond the uniform, alongside his business partner Rowley.

Sanderson served with the Army National Guard and completed a 15-month tour to Iraq in 2003. After 11 years of service, Sanderson retired and took his experiences from the military into a role as a nurse practitioner. Rowley is a longtime expert in finance, specifically with VA Home Loan Benefits. For years, Sanderson and Rowley talked about serving a bigger purpose and giving back which prompted them to create All Things Veterans - an online based community for veterans providing free, useful information and content.

The organization was built on four pillars: Community, Awareness, Intel, Patriotism and after speaking with Jacob and Darron, we knew we had discovered like-minded individuals who cared about serving the veterans in their community. Although fairly new, the organization has created a facebook page where they’ve got a large audience to which they share patriotic images and relevant veteran information/resources. We encourage you to like their page and follow along on their journey!

In addition, resources, blog posts and veteran stories/testimonials can be found on their website.

Any questions about veteran resources or the VA Home Loan, feel free to comment below or reach out to us and we can put you in touch with the team at All Things Veteran!
